Guide: All artists will…
08/04/14 - 31/05/14 The Indigo Project
Artists will partake in the Mindfullness Meditation course/therapy with The Indigo Project (Sydney) and in doing so will once a week at a prearranged time, take part in a skype meeting with the team at The Indigo Project. This will involve answering questions which will measure changes to creative process, making adjustments to the meditation, deal with concerns, motivate the artists and explain what is happening in the brain.
The Indigo Project is represented by Mary Hoang (owner and psychologist), Jack Marshall (Master of Eastern Medicine) and Heather Devine (Art Therapist).
08/04/14 - 31/05/14 Dream Circle
Every Saturday for 1 - 2 hours.
Each week psychotherapist Ilana Laps, founder of Dream Lab will discuss a different topic with the artists through a guided dream circle.
Artists will also share their dreams for that week and discuss any changes in their creative process. These meetings will also provide artists with a point of contact to discuss their work in progress with one another.
04/04/14: Mary, Heather and Jack arrive in Melbourne. All artists and Ilana and The Indigo Project team meet at retreat location.
05/04/14 - 07/04/14: 3-day retreat
Mary Hoang, owner and psychologist at The Indigo Project introduces Mindfullness Meditation and the eight week project.
Jack Marshall, Master of Eastern Medicine and practicioner of Ki Yoga and Shiatsu will prescribe diet and specific yoga moves to release emotional blockage.
Each artist will undergo a one hour treatment with Jack and prescribe a suggested diet and yoga for best mind and body results.
07/04/14: Mary, Jack and Heather return to Sydney. Artists return home and begin creating their artwork.
31/05/14: Project ends
Artists complete involvement with program and finalize their work for submission to exhibit the following month.
- Keep a dream diary
- Refrain from drinking alcohol in excess and taking sleeping pills or any drugs
- Attend all arranged appointments and consultations on time (emergency excepted)
- Endeavor to take part in creative activity before sleep (from reading a book to creating artwork)
- Practice exercise and a healthy diet to be in the best mind and body state for the project
